Cargo compartment inspections


Underwriters frequently require an independent inspection of a ship's cargo compartment prior to chartering. Compartment surveys are also of use to proprietors planning to hire or sell their vessel as an independent reports can identify measures that need to be taken to guarantee the safe transit of specific commodities.

Medsurvey's general reports detail maximum loading capacities, stowage stability, the holds resistance to humidity & salinty and the condition of the hatch ceals. The report can also document the hygiene status and identify eventual traces of radioactivity found in the compartments.
